Major Refrigeration Ltd. was established in 2012 and employs more than 150 employees. As a Foreman or Lead Hand at Major Refrigeration, you will lead a team of skilled mechanical tradespersons, ensuring that each repair, maintenance, installation, and construction project meets the highest standards of customer service and workmanship. Your role involves coaching, mentoring, and fostering a culture of excellence, safety and collaboration across the team.

This position is open to candidates in Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead Technical Resource on assigned projects
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, General Contractors and subcontractors
• Create reports on job status' and performance
• Ensure all employees are working safely and following company policies and procedures (eg. personal protective equipment (PPE) and vehicle safety)
• Ensure compliance of installation policies and procedures (eg. project tracking, health and safety and time and attendance)
• Oversee 3rd party resources, as required
• Organize tasks for crew of 3-5 peers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• 313A Mechanic or Registered 4th or 5th term Apprentice (Refrigeration and HVAC Technician)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or other related industry/trade
• Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours
• Making good judgment in work assignments
• Proficient in providing clear and concise direction
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to use technology including email and job tracking software
• Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certification, required
• Ability to stand, crouch, kneel and climb ladders
• Valid G driver's licence with a clean record
