is recruiting for Systems Accountants II who establish, modify, and evaluate accounting systems with departmental or County-wide impact. Essential duties include identifying, defining, and analyzing accounting and financial problems; analyzing system functionality; maintaining security and controls; developing training materials; providing ongoing training and technical assistance to end users; testing and reviewing system output; responding to questions regarding accounting concepts, cost accounting, and legal interpretations related to fiscal matters; and performing cash flow and cost/benefit analysis.
The resulting eligible list may be used to fill future vacancies throughout the County as they occur.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or another field with 30 semester (45 quarter) units in accounting. Transcripts are required if degree is in another field.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of professional accounting experience analyzing, designing, implementing, or maintaining computerized accounting systems, including documenting business requirements and system controls, obtained within the last five years. Experience as an end-user does not qualify.
Substitution: One year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of the required experience.
DOCUMENTATION: Must attach transcripts or proof of coursework if degree is in another field. Failure to submit documents may disqualify your application.
