Job Description

The Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Senior Financial Analyst will help to support the forecasting reporting and analysis of the digital & physical lines of businesses within Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The Analyst will play an important role in title level forecasting & budgeting weekly / biweekly reporting monthly financial pacing and various quarterly and annual financial reviews. This person should have a finance or related background with strong technical and analytical skills. Attention to detail is important as the reporting our team generates is distributed across several teams within UPHE as well as other business units we work closely with. This position will report to the Director of Commercial FP&A supporting the Commercial & Analytics team and will work closely with Brand Global FP&A and Film HQ.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and execute all the process elements to support our Global FCF and Global Overhead forecasts budget planning and indepth variance analyses.
  • Execute and deliver indepth analysis and insight essential to support the Intl Digital forecasts and actualization processes.
  • Narrate and present financial results to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reconcile financial interface data from 3rd Party distribution partner to NBCU SAP system.
  • Create and perform systemic checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Understand system processes and initiate ideas to streamline existing processes
  • Build collaborative relationship with core team members and broader finance organization
  • Contribute to various initiatives and ad hoc projects (ex. Synergies between domestic / international and physical / digital process Power BI etc.)

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting / Finance
  • Proven experience of financial modeling analysis and forecasting

Desired Characteristics :

  • Detail oriented and proficient with MS Office Suite products particularly strong Excel technical skills with some SAP / AoE / BPC or Essbase knowledge
  • Solid finance and accounting skills excellent analytical abilities outstanding process improvement capabilities and strong interpersonal skills
  • General understanding of accounting principles : accruals revenue and cost recognition
  • Experience working with and mining large amounts of data and streamlining manual processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy
  • Solid organization skills and ability to prioritize multiple and competing priorities
  • Solid track record of automation & process improvements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a proactive approach to building working relationships in a matrix environment
  • Ability to plan and organize work to meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment managing multiple projects
  • Ability to effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters
  • Quick learner selfstarter team player

Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
