Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at the time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable time frame from the date of hire. Applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer in San Jose, CA. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge defense and intelligence systems supporting national security missions.

The Electrical Engineer will evaluate RF systems such as RADARs, jammers, and communication systems, including their software and signals, for capabilities, performance, and vulnerabilities. Effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams is essential.

What you bring:

• Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Understanding of communication signals and protocols within the OSI model
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Wireshark
• Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity concepts
• Ability to contribute to rapid prototyping
• Strong task and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field
• Expertise in RF physical layer and Data Link, Network, Transport layers
• Experience with RF test equipment and Digital Signal Processing
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Technical leadership experience

Salary Range: USD $116,266 - USD $128,983 annually. The posting remains open until filled.
