Job Description

The Senior Staff Accountant reports directly to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for financial reporting, general accounting activities related to the month-end closing process, variance analysis, annual audit, and related duties as assigned.

• Prepare and post accurate revenue and other assigned journal entries in a timely manner, including accrual estimates.
• Analyze accounts and activities to ensure all material entries are booked correctly and timely, including financing and interest calculations.
• Complete month-end close tasks by the 5th business day.
• Generate monthly reports for executive deliverables.
• Review data consistency between source/subsidiary systems and the general ledger.
• Communicate effectively with operations to ensure timely data flow for closing.
• Perform account reconciliations and make necessary adjustments.
• Identify process improvements and recommend solutions.
• Maintain policies and procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Assist the finance team with journal entry questions.
• Support repair shops with parts inventory analysis.
• Mentor and train staff accountants.
• Provide documentation for the annual financial audit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in public accounting.
