XL Engineering is a growing engineering firm based in Auburn, CA. We are currently looking for an Entry Level Structural Engineer ready to work in a fast-paced environment. Our engineers work from initial design layouts through full construction documents while coordinating with Owners, Architects, and our own in-house Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and T-24 design team.

Desired Qualifications & Characteristics:

• BS/MS in structural/civil engineering (or related engineering discipline)
• Understanding of structural engineering principles with coursework in wood, concrete, steel, and/or masonry
• Accurate and detail-oriented
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to engage with leaders and clients on the team
• Understanding and proficiency using Excel to complete calculations (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, EnerCalc desirable)
• 0-4 years experience working in a design/construction environment
