The County of San Diego is accepting online applications for the position of Project Manager, Public Works, to fill immediate vacancies within various divisions of the Department of Public Works.
Department of Public Works
The DPW is responsible for roads, traffic engineering, construction inspection, design engineering, land surveying, watershed management, airports, waste management, water systems, and assessment districts in unincorporated areas.
Work Location
Located at the modern County Operations Center in Kearny Mesa, San Diego, easily accessible via major freeways, with amenities including an employee gym.
Work ScheduleHybrid schedule options including telework and on-site work at Kearny Mesa.
Selection ProcessIncludes interviews, background checks, medical screening, with start dates based on screening completion. Eligible candidates may be considered for future vacancies if not selected.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in relevant fields plus 5 years' project management experience, or a total of 9 years' education and experience. A master's degree can substitute for one year of experience. Current project management certification is highly desirable.
