Summary

The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to 3-4 retail locations. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives to cultivate an innovative, high-performing, and inclusive culture, as well as providing excellent internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement across the organization to ensure standards are aligned and being executed for all our retail management.

As a core team member, this position will work to increase profitability by directly impacting our employees through employee and leadership development.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Providing counsel to GMs and retail leadership by proactively identifying issues and opportunities with available metrics, taking action to drive initiatives and execute plans to improve performance.
  2. Partnering with GMs on local talent management strategies, including succession planning, developing internal talent, and supporting recruiting efforts to ensure the right talent at the right time.
  3. Conducting leadership training sessions with GM and RbA leadership on topics like performance management, conflict resolution, coaching, and employment law.
  4. Providing guidance and support to leaders on escalated HR questions, investigations, and employee concerns, ensuring outcomes align with Andersen standards and values.
  5. Advising on compensation, including salary recommendations, incentives, and market adjustments.
  6. Supporting the interview process, onboarding, and conducting exit interviews for retail talent.
  7. Leading or participating in projects to improve partner experience and organizational efficiency.
  8. Travel up to 20% within retail locations or to the Minnesota headquarters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; PHR/SPHR preferred
  • 5-7 years in a HR Business Partner role supporting 300+ employees, preferably in retail
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • Experience in data gathering and analysis
  • PHR / SPHR certification
  • Bilingual in Karen, Somali, or Hmong (preferred)

Compensation

Expected salary range: $97,059 - $150,441, based on experience, education, location, and certifications. Further details will be provided during the hiring process.
