CalWest client school in Nevada seeks a Human Resource Generalist to begin July 1, 2025 or sooner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
3–5 years of professional HR experience; independent school or nonprofit experience preferred.
Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service mindset.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Responsibilities:
Manage recruitment and hiring processes for faculty, staff, and seasonal roles, including posting positions, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
Lead new employee onboarding and orientation processes.
Administer employee benefits programs and serve as the primary point of contact for benefit-related inquiries.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and school policies.
Provide guidance to employees and leadership on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Collaborate with school leadership to support staff retention and morale.
Partner with the business office on payroll-related processes and recordkeeping.
