Under the general direction of an Assistant Bureau Director (Compliance Validation & Analysis Programs), Filing Compliance Bureau, the Administrator III (Specialist) oversees functions related to Franchise Tax Board's (FTB)fraud detection and prevention program working closely with internal and external stakeholders as well as the enterprise teams. The incumbent will work closely with the fraud modeling team who focus on detection and prevention of refund fraud and identity theft. The team identifies potential fraud, examines and verifies Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Business Entity (BE) return information to determine if fraud or identity theft exists. The incumbent will participate in governance bodies, enterprise teams, external work groups, and partners with stakeholders to understand the fraud environment, stakeholder needs and concerns, and potential impacts to the department, programs and policies. This position requires a physical presence in Sacramento at the Central Office.

This position is eligible for limited remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of four days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
