Job Description:
We are seeking a Technology Manager to support Field Services and Training Services for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State DOT's, as well as Railroad Suppliers, Contractors, and Consultants alike.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science (Preferred).
Equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT.

Job Duties:- Analyze and evaluate current network operations in order to optimize performance.
- Source and recommend changes or improvements to systems.
- Identify cyber security threats and mitigate risks.
- Perform system data backups and implement recovery plans.
- Analyze systems data and report findings.
- Design and architect system components.
- Train users on various systems.
- Set-up and configure office and field equipment as necessary.
- Performs other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions and additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment:This job operates in an office and field environment.
The Technology Manager will be based at the defined location. However, travel to other offices and to field employees will be occasionally necessary.
Work Schedule:This position has normal working hours between 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, totaling a regular 40hour/week.
The Technology Manager may be required to be on call at times, to work weekends, to work overtime, and/or be readily available on an as needed basis to provide technical support for emergency computer, phone, or network problems as they arise. In the event of catastrophic failure, the Technology Manager may be called to come in, regardless of vacation or location, to resolve any issues.
