IT Project Manager

Description:

CTG is seeking to fill an IT Project Manager opening for our client in Rochester, MN.

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Lead and manage medium to high complexity IT infrastructure projects, and support large-scale program initiatives in collaboration with senior project or program managers.

  • Oversee project execution across Networks, Endpoints, Data Center, Servers, Cloud, and Database Management.

  • Manage project scope, timeline, budget (up to $1M), and deliverables using both predictive and adaptive methodologies.

  • Drive architectural design and capability development in collaboration with engineers, architects, and vendors.

  • Oversee hardware installations, system refreshes, and migrations.

  • Perform RFP development and vendor selection processes.

  • Conduct data analysis and utilize tools such as spreadsheets or Power BI to support decisions and monitor performance.

  • Present status reports and communicate project updates using dashboards, stand-ups, and leadership presentations.

  • Ensure compliance with internal project management methodologies and standards.

  • Provide guidance on project management practices to junior staff or team members.

  • May support strategic planning efforts and present project materials to oversight committees when necessary.

Skills:

  • Strong project management expertise across multiple infrastructure domains: Networks, Endpoints, Data Center, Servers, Cloud, and Database Management.

  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting with 24x7 patient care support.

  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies including scrum and kanban.

  • Effective data analysis skills with Power BI or spreadsheets.

  • Advanced skills in communicating technical concepts and status updates to various audiences including leadership.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web browsers.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience managing IT and/or healthcare-related projects of simple to moderate complexity using PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas (with Bachelor's Degree).

  • OR minimum of 4 years' experience with Master's Degree.

  • Experience in matrix team management and vendor coordination.

  • Agile certification such as PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe required.

  • ProSCI certification is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Master's Degree preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $48.00/hour to $52.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
