Responsibilities

We're currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to join our team as a Quality Engineer at our Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) manufacturing facility in City of Industry, CA. Howmet Aerospace is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries, focusing on jet engine components, aerospace fastening systems, and titanium structural parts. We are committed to transforming the next phase of more fuel-efficient, quieter aerospace engines and sustainable ground transportation.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Perform Customer Purchase Order/Contract Reviews to identify quality requirements and verify compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments on procedural issues related to product quality control.
• Develop and implement quality policies and procedures based on corporate, government, and customer requirements, including AS9100 and NADCAP standards.
• Lead Material Review Board activities, failure analysis, and corrective actions for nonconforming materials.
• Identify and lead process improvements to minimize product deficiencies.
• Manage quality functions with customers and suppliers, including investigations, audits, and corrective actions.
• Prepare reports on quality statistics and issues.
• Coordinate customer source inspections and perform Designated Source Quality Representative functions.
• Respond to customer Corrective Action Requests, investigate root causes, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Participate in NADCAP and AS9100 audit preparations.
• Validate Statistical Process Control data and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of government and industry quality assurance standards.

Benefits/Salary:

The position offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k matching, paid holidays, and vacation. The salary range is $69,000 to $98,500.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (highly desired).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Aerospace manufacturing.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must meet ITAR requirements, including U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline.
• ISO or AS9100 Lead Auditor certification.
