The Director of Health Safety Management is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and initiatives for the health system to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. They are responsible for the management of Emergency Preparedness, Environment of Care (EC) Safety and Life Safety Programs to minimize hazards and reduce risk of injury to patients, visitors, and employees. This position assures compliance with state and federal regulations, including, but not limited to, the State Health Care Quality and Compliance regulations, Joint Commission standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation, Occupational Safety Health Administration, and any other applicable governmental health care compliance agency. The role is pivotal in promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
