Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

As part of our growing Medical Affairs organization, we are seeking a Director, Analytics & Insights to drive data-driven decision-making, performance measurement, and digital innovation. This role will be responsible for building and optimizing analytics, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and digital tools to enhance the impact of Medical Affairs across our portfolio. This individual will report to the Head of Medical Excellence and work cross-functionally to deliver actionable insights and scalable digital solutions that support the organization's broader goals.

Key responsibilities include:

Medical Affairs Analytics & Insights:

  • Develop and implement a Medical Affairs analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate and Medical Excellence objectives.

  • Establish metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards to track the impact of Medical Affairs activities, including field medical engagements, congress participation, publications, medical information inquiries, independent medical education, and insights generation.

  • Generate data-driven insights to optimize stakeholder engagement strategies, content effectiveness, and overall medical strategy.

  • Lead Medical Affairs analytics for scientific congresses, identifying trends, key takeaways, and competitor benchmarking.

Digital Strategy & Innovation:

  • Drive digital transformation within Medical Affairs, identifying and implementing innovative tools and platforms to enhance engagement, efficiency, and insights generation.

  • Participate in the selection, deployment, and management of digital solutions, including CRM platforms, grants system, medical information, MLR systems, medical insights repositories, congress apps and AI-powered analytics tools.

  • Support automation of data collection, reporting, and visualization, ensuring seamless integration across systems.

  • Explore, and support implementation of, emerging technologies, such as machine learning, AI-driven analytics, and natural language processing, to optimize Medical Affairs decision-making.

Medical Insights Framework & Implementation:

  • Develop a structured approach to medical insights collection, synthesis, and reporting, ensuring insights from MSLs, congresses, advisory boards, medical information and medical education programs inform strategic decisions.

  • Implement standardized processes for capturing and analyzing insights from external engagements and internal initiatives.

  • Partner with Medical Strategy, Field Medical, and Commercial teams to ensure insights are effectively translated into action.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with Medical Affairs leadership, IT, Commercial, Clinical Development, and other functions to ensure data-driven decision-making.

  • Partner with Commercial Omnichannel leads to establish operations for utilizing omnichannel to enhance medical planning, including measuring changes in awareness, engagement, and education of stakeholders.

  • Develop and present quarterly business reviews, reports, and data narratives to senior leadership, showcasing Medical Affairs' impact.

  • Train Medical Affairs teams on best practices for analytics interpretation, insights capture, and digital tool utilization.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MS, or MBA) in a scientific, technical, or quantitative discipline.

  • 13+ years (for MS/MBA) or 11+ years (for PhD/PharmD/MD) of experience in analytics, insights, or digital strategy and 6+ years of relevant leadership experience within Medical Affairs, R&D, or Commercial functions in the biotech/pharma industry.

  • Strong experience in data analytics, visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, etc.), and KPI development.

  • Expertise in medical insights generation and strategic storytelling using data-driven approaches.

  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and digital transformation trends in Medical Affairs.

  • Proficiency with CRM and Medical Affairs tools (Veeva, DataVision, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling visual narratives.

  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration and change management.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience supporting Medical Affairs in an oncology-focused organization.

  • Experience designing Medical Affairs operational dashboards.

  • Strong understanding of oncology, precision medicine, and targeted therapies.

  • Familiarity with real-world data, HEOR analytics, and medical informatics.

  • Experience working with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners.

  • Expertise in digital platforms for compliance tracking, document management, and governance reporting.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $204,000 to $255,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
