About the role!

The Head of Talent is responsible forleading all aspects of recruitment and talent acquisition. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing best practices across the full recruitment lifecycle, building out recruiting operations, partnering with hiring managers, managing vendor relationships, and designing systems to scale our hiring and onboarding experience. This leader will play a pivotal role in attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent aligned with our mission.This position currently reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

As the Head of Talent, you will:

Recruitment Strategy & Execution

·Design and implement a scalable recruitment strategy to attract top talent across education, clinical, and administrative roles.

·Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts—from job posting and sourcing to offer negotiation and close.

·Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, build scorecards, and ensure consistent, equitable interview processes.

·Maintain and continuously improve job descriptions, career page content, and outreach language for clarity and inclusivity.

Recruiting Operations & Systems

·Lead the selection, buildout, and optimization of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); ensure clean workflows, automation, and hiring analytics.

·Create and document recruiting SOPs and playbooks to ensure consistency and compliance across hiring teams.

·Track and report recruitment KPIs and pipeline health to inform hiring strategy and resourcing needs.

Vendor & Job Board Management

·Build and manage relationships with external recruiting agencies, job boards, and DEI hiring platforms.

·Maintain job board presence, including regular audits, updates, and expansion to reach broader talent pools.

Onboarding & Candidate Experience

·Design and oversee a structured, engaging onboarding experience in partnership with HR and program leaders.

·Develop pre-boarding communication workflows, orientation schedules, and feedback loops for new hires.

·Continuously evaluate and enhance candidate experience from application to day one.

What we're looking for:

·Proven success managing full-cycle recruitment at scale, across diverse functions and geographies.

·Strong project management and systems implementation experience (especially with ATS platforms).

About your background (education/experience):

·10+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting operations, preferably in a non-profit, education, or clinical services setting.

·Experience working in organizations with both educational and mental health/clinical services components (preferred).

Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

·Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation listed is reflective of a 0.60 FTE (24 hours/week):

Range: $110,000-$125,000 per year

Pay Type: salary

The actual base salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
