Job Summary: The Marketing Coordinator: Content and Social Media plays a key role in capturing, creating, and publishing content that brings the Palisades Tahoe brand to life across social channels and resort-owned platforms. This role balances creativity with executionshooting and editing video/photo assets, moderating guest interactions online, and analyzing performance to continually refine our digital presence.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLCs hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLCs total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $20.50 - $28.69 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Capture high-quality photo and video using professional camera and audio equipment.
  • Edit, catalog, and organize assets for intake into the resorts digital asset management system.
  • Plan, schedule, and publish social content using social media management tools, with Sprout preferred.
  • Moderate and respond to guest comments and messages across social platforms in brand voice.
  • Execute content calendars aligned with resort priorities and seasonal campaigns.
  • Track, analyze, and report on content performance and share insights to improve engagement.
  • Support influencer collaborations and contracted content creators.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify content opportunities and support marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with website and blog updates, event coverage, and other marketing projects as needed.

Competencies and Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in camera operation, audio capture, and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and management systems, ideally Sprout Strong copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to analyze social performance metrics and apply insights.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills.
  • Passion for outdoor recreation and mountain culture with intermediate or above skiing or snowboarding ability preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 70% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs. Must capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee will frequently be exposed to extreme cold, wetness and/or humidity, and occasionally blizzards and extreme storm conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.

Equipment Used in Job: Cameras, editing software, PC, general office equipment, radio.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • A bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Film/Photography, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • One to two years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the ski resort, outdoor recreation, or hospitality industries.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability.
