In the Azure Core team, we focus on building solutions that drive efficiencies in our backend development processes for the Azure Cloud. We aim to revolutionize how we can improve code quality and service reliability across the critical Azure service teams with our cutting-edge AI capabilities and Copilot solutions.

As a Senior Software Engineer in Azure Core, you will be a technical thought leader to drive building top-notch quality solutions in Azure. You should have a deep passion and experience with data and managing large data pipelines to help transform how we capture and report on metrics like carbon emissions for both first and third-party customers in Azure. By leveraging existing backend solutions and building new integrations into customer-facing Azure solutions, you will find ways to improve quality and scale our important solutions used by some of the biggest companies across the globe. Your focus will be on organizing, querying, and developing performant data pipelines, combining this data with large, scalable microservice technologies to build APIs and integrations into Azure services such as Azure Carbon Optimization. This role will help organizations better measure and minimize the carbon impact of their Azure footprint.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal developers and service team leadership using your social skills.
• Design, build, test, debug, and ship quality solutions that improve reporting and organization of key data for carbon emissions in Azure, while optimizing existing solutions and proposing new approaches.
• Enhance existing solutions to ensure Azure remains the most reliable cloud platform.
• Work with service teams to gather feedback on solutions and implement improvements promptly.
• Solve complex problems related to data sources, improving efficiency and reliability for integrations across customer-facing Azure services.
• Provide technical support for internal and external customers.
• Participate actively in a community of creativity, inclusion, and respect.
