Definition
The Subsidy Supervisor will provide supervision, leadership and support to assigned case managers and/program assistant positions in the assigned office/s. Oversees and assists with the management of the Subsidy Program, and implementation of identified program goals and objectives. Each Subsidy Supervisor will have specific areas of responsibilities identified.

Duties
- Achieve an understanding of agency mission, strategic focus areas and overall goals and objectives. Contribute to the success of these areas
- Read, understand, and apply all agency and department policy and procedures set forth in both the Agency Handbook and CCR&R Program Manual
- Achieves a high level of understanding of the Child Care State Manual and implements consistently while guiding assigned staff
- Provide case management to families as needed, and in response to Case Manager's overload of clients, and/or implementation of contact and wrap around slots
- Assist parents with complaints about program and/or child care services, mediate as needed, and advise parents of proper procedure for resolution of grievances
- Conduct client appeals, providing clear documentation of actions taken
- Review and recommend action on all clients over payments in accordance with Child Care Subsidy Program Regulations
- Responsible for the auditing of client files, computerized case management, and overall compliance with Child Care Subsidy Program regulations
- Work with the Program Manager to ensure the needs of DWSS, Cabinet and clients are met, and make recommendations in regards to policy and office operations
- Provide leadership and support to assigned staff, including their overall supervision, performance planning and evaluation. Coordinate technical support needs of out-posted staff
- Responsible for the training and orientation of new case managers to include software, case management practices, regulations for administering the subsidy program and Cabinet/program policies and procedures and philosophy
- Maintain clear and open communication with Welfare District Office Managers, Investigations and Recovery Unit and staff to ensure needs of Welfare Division, Cabinet and clients are met. Assist in the ongoing strengthening of the Cabinet's partnership with the Welfare Division
- Establish and expand community relationships for the purpose of networking, outreach and advocacy based on identified program goals and objectives, (i.e., quality, respite, tribal activities)
- Attend and participate in department and agency staff meetings and other events
- Performs other tasks as assigned

- Be physically capable of performing all job duties, which may require lifting up to 40 pounds
Special Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human service field or equivalent experience and education in human services
- Minimum one year supervisory experience
- Must have reliable transportation, possess a valid Nevada Driver's License, and have current insurance if using a personal vehicle for company work
License or Certificate
- Able to pass complete background check
