Description

Tahoe Donner Association is looking for Snowmakers to join our Downhill Ski Resort operations! The Snowmaker is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the snowmaking air and water plant, on mountain snow placement and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Provides excellent customer service to customers, employees and business partners.
  2. Set up air-water fan snowmaking guns.
  3. Operate snowmobiles that may be towing snowmaking equipment or pulling hoses.
  4. Check and adjust air and water hydrants to maintain snow quality regularly.
  5. Hook up and clean out snowmaking hoses and equipment regularly.
  6. Ensure safety requirements are met and adhered to at all times.
  7. Relocate snowmaking equipment to various locations on the mountain, as required.
  8. Maintain clean and operating snow making equipment.
  9. Assists with snow removal including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, stairs and other areas as needed.

We are looking for the following qualifications:
  • Ability to work long hours at night in harsh outdoor mountain environment with variable weather conditions.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to verbal and written directions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Previous snow making and snowmobile operation preferred.


These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a High school Diploma or equivalent plus up to one-month related training; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
