Business Account Representative - Occupational Health

Rate of Pay: $25.78/hour + DOE

Summary
Supports Tahoe Works manager and case manager in a variety of office/ administrative tasks related to billing and collection of specialty accounts, maintaining contractual agreements, following up with patient referrals, assists with non-clinical aspects of case management and patient navigation and maintains/ builds relationships with employers including promotional material and outreach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies problem accounts with payors; investigates and corrects errors; follows-up on missing account information; and, resolves past-due accounts accordingly through use of correspondence, email and telephone contact.
  • Contacts payors (employer or insurance carrier) regarding insurance clarification or to set up payment plan to clean account. Coordinates and/or processes records and information related to billings
  • Processing and monitoring of contractual agreements. Follow-up with employers and maintains a positive relationship/ customer service with employer contacts.
  • Assists Manager with employer accounts and contract issues. Tracks payments received from insurance and/or employer account payors.
  • Analyzes transactions and corrects company records to adjust errors. Researches and processes refunds
  • Maintains complete special account billing history records. Prepares reports to identify and resolve accounts receivable issues and to assist with overall clinic volume reporting.
  • Direct contact for specialty patient accounts and facilitates establishment of retail accounts within the health system. Works with contacts outside of the department to verify information needed to process bills.
  • Processes month end EMR reports and for the accounting office and maintains history online
  • Assists Case Manager with patient referrals and helps navigate patients to referral services.
  • Assists Case Manager with resource coordination and referrals management.
  • Assists Case Manager with all non-clinical aspects of case management.
  • Assists with promotional material and outreach to employers including newsletters and ongoing communication.
  • Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
  • Complies with System policies and procedures.
  • Other office and clerical duties assigned.
  • Assists other team members needed.

Minimum Education/Experience
Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 6 months to 1 year relevant experience
