Title: Finance Infrastructure Engineer

Overview: Our client, a defense-focused cybersecurity firm, is seeking a Finance Infrastructure Engineer to modernize financial operations through automation and integration. This hybrid finance-engineering role focuses on building scalable workflows, connecting financial systems, and driving data accuracy across payroll, forecasting, and project accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee core finance functions including payroll validation, cash flow, tax, and project cost allocation.
• Build and maintain automations and API integrations between payroll, ERP, and project tracking systems using Python, SQL, or similar tools.
• Automate processes for labor rate modeling, project allocation, and expense reconciliation.
• Develop dashboards and projections for leadership visibility into budgets and utilization.
• Ensure financial automations align with defense contracting and DCAA standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to align finance workflows with internal data infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 510+ years in finance, accounting, FP&A, or financial systems automation.
• Hands?on experience automating and integrating financial tools using Python, SQL, APIs, or Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, data-driven environment.
