Partnership Tax Manager

Venture capital firm is currently seeking a Partnership Tax Manager to oversee tax and accounting for various entities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills, with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently within a team environment.

The finance team, supporting the venture capital firm and its managing directors' families, comprises twenty-two members, including the CFO and six directors.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review income tax returns for various partnerships.
2. Plan and prepare quarterly income tax estimates and annual extensions for partnerships.
3. Review general ledger accounting for partnerships quarterly.
4. Research tax-related issues.
5. Respond to tax notices.
6. Assist the Director of Accounting and Director of Finance with special projects as needed.
7. Collaborate with the CFO and Director of Finance to develop quarterly forecasting systems for portfolio companies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics; CPA preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience preparing partnership tax returns, preferably in venture capital, private equity, or alternative investments.
3. Proficiency in CCH Axcess, ProSystems fx Tax, CCH Workpaper Manager is a plus.
4. Strong skills in Adobe and MS Office, especially Excel.
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
6. Strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills.
7. Detail-oriented and highly motivated.
8. Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision in a team setting.
