Please note: The salary for this classification will be approximately $70,033.81 - $87,445.90/year, effective August 9, 2025.

Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium will be $1,100 per month, effective August 9, 2025.

The Department of Public Works is currently seeking applications for Parking Enforcement Officer to fill temporary/extra-help vacancies in Tahoe. Parking Enforcement Officers act as parking ambassadors to engage with and educate the public about parking management program goals. Ideal candidates will be able to apply excellent customer service skills to assist users with the new paid parking system.

Temporary/extra-help assignments are limited to working 28 hours per week with a cap of 999 hours (or 960 hours for CalPERS retired annuitants) in a fiscal year and are not eligible for benefits. Extra-help appointments made from this eligible list may transition to permanent status, should vacancies arise.

The eligible list established as a result of this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies as they arise, subject to position-specific requirements.

Employees who are permanently assigned to a position located in the North Lake Tahoe Area receive salary plus up to an additional $1,000 per month Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium.
